Terms of Service

These terms apply to your use of the Transport Risk Intelligence portal (the “Portal”), operated by Transport Risk Intelligence (“TRI”, “we”). By signing in, you agree to them.

1. The service

The Portal helps transport operators organise fleet compliance: records for drivers, vehicles and insurance policies, document storage in Google Drive, and email reminders ahead of expiry dates. Access is available only to organisations registered with TRI and to the people they authorise.

2. Your account

You sign in with your Google account. Keep that account secure and tell us promptly at ruben@reliable.co.za if you believe it has been misused. Client organisations are responsible for telling us which people should have access, and for asking us to remove people who should no longer have it.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • access, or attempt to access, another organisation’s records or documents;
  • upload unlawful material, or personal information you have no right to process;
  • interfere with the Portal’s security or operation, or attempt to bypass its access controls;
  • use the Portal for any purpose other than managing your organisation’s fleet compliance.

We may suspend access that breaches these terms or puts the Portal or other clients at risk.

4. Your data and its accuracy

Clients own the records and documents they place in the Portal and are responsible for their accuracy and completeness, and for having a lawful basis to capture personal information about their drivers and staff. How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Reminders do not replace your compliance obligations

Reminders are a convenience. They depend on the dates entered being correct and on email delivery, and they may be delayed or not arrive. They do not replace your own legal and regulatory obligations — including keeping driver licences, PrDPs, vehicle licences, roadworthy certificates and insurance current — which remain your responsibility.

6. No warranty

The Portal is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we give no warranty that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. The Portal relies on third-party services (including Google Drive, Gmail, Supabase and Vercel) that we do not control.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, TRI is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, including loss of profit, revenue or data, fines or penalties, arising from use of or inability to use the Portal, including missed or late reminders. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Portal is limited to the fees the client paid for the Portal in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Ending use

A client may stop using the Portal at any time. On request, we will delete or return its records and documents as set out in the Privacy Policy.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. The “Last updated” date shows when they last changed; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
